My story

LaurieMae.jpg

Laurie Lynn

Laurie Lynn loves to use music to encourage, inspire, and help others when they are in difficult situations in their lives. Her books and songs will give children strategies on how to respond to all the situations they will face in life.

Her first book, “Would You Be My Friend?” was created to help students realize the value of friendships. Children can say many harsh words that hurt others and she wants them to be aware of the power of using love and kind words. The next book is titled, “Lemon or Lemonade?” and it deals with having to make difficult choices in life.  Laurie says the song has “popped” in her head when she is faced with a dilema on how to handle various circumstances in her life.  She hopes that the song will “pop” in kids heads to prompt them to be careful of what choice they are going to make and the consequences of both scenarios.  The third book is called, “Go!  Go!  Go” and she used this song when teaching her students to never give up in life.  Life can be hard, but when you listen to the song you’ll want to grab an “instrument” and sing along to never give up.

Enjoy listening and singing along with the Sally Mae Books.  Stay tuned for additional books and songs that will be coming.

Have you ever been the new kid in school?

Music!  Recording! Instruments!

The songs for the Sally Mae Books are important and children learn through rhythm and music.

I want to thank Scott Anderson at 57th Street Productions for believing in me years ago about my dream for the books and songs to become reality.   I remember singing the melody of songs  to Scott  and he would be sitting at the keyboard concentrating.   Asking about genre?  Thinking about the correct instruments?   Suddenly… he became an incredible composer.  The songs came to life with all the various instruments that he added to the piece.  Scott is a gifted artist.

Thanks Scott!  Enjoy the first book with the song, “Would You Be My Friend?’”  Feel free to blow bubbles with your kids while listening to the song.   Next, sing along with  the second book called “Lemon or Lemonade”.  More exciting music to come….
